How to Use Instagram Stories to Your Advantage this Holiday Season

Every year, it seems the holidays are being celebrated earlier and earlier, which can put a lot of pressure on business owners and marketers. This time of year , must include a business strategy, social media plan, and what products and/or services you’d like to promote the most. It’s important to prepare your strategy early on, that way you can focus on promoting your business in a more personal way throughout the actual holidays! What do we mean by this? While everyone else is busy promoting their sales and purely focusing on their products and services, business owners often forget to provide that personal touch to their brand this time of year. We’ve included a few tips on how to implement your personality into your social media strategy!

We believe it’s very important to show your personality! If you’ve already solidified your holiday strategy, then spend the extra time doing behind the scenes stories on Instagram.! Show your followers how you get into the holiday spirit. You could do a house tour or an office tour showing your festive decor. Your audience wants to get to know you and this is a perfect way to do that.

Another great strategy is to utilize the quiz feature on Instagram Stories! How well do you think your followers know you? Setting up a short quiz is a fun way for your audience to play along and learn more fun facts about you and your business.

Next, ask your audience for their opinions! You can’t generate sales if you have no idea what’s attracting your audience. Set up polls on Instagram Stories asking what your customers’ favorite products or services are! By comparing two of your products, it gives you the knowledge of which product is their favorite. This will allow you to understand which product to highlight more on your website or social media.

Finally, as much as your audience wants to get to know you, they also like to feel heard and noticed.!! Ask your followers to share their favorite holiday memory of how they’re celebrating the season and have them tag you in their stories so you can share them on your business account.

Oftentimes, business owners neglect Instagram Stories, when in fact, they can be extremely useful to your business! Take advantage of these free tools for your holiday marketing needs and see how they benefit your business this season!
