The goal was to promote a stigma-free space to talk about all things mental health and self-care. What started as an Instagram community came together as a response to there not existing enough places where brave conversations about mental health felt safe. The community created by Self Care Is For Everyone is a safe space where people can feel supported and be reminded to practice self-care and includes mental health advocates, spotlights independent artists, and collaborates with non-profit groups

Shades of Melanin is a site that brings women of color together by discussing issues pivotal to self-growth, self-love, and self-enhancement. Shades of Melanin aims to connect women from all walks of life and offers a compilation of art: spoken, visual, and written. The site also addresses an array of issues, including the story of Florida-based attorney Michele Rayner-Goolsby. Although this story was originally shared on September 25, 2019, it’s message continues to resonate today.
