Marketing We Love: Our Favorite Social Campaigns and Posts

The most successful brands today are online. More specifically, they’re on social – and they’re rocking the media landscape with killer campaigns that build a buzz, bring people together, and raise global brand awareness. But what are they doing right, and how can you follow suit? Here are 3 of our favorite social media campaigns, and what your brand can learn from them.

The Starbucks #WhatsYourName Campaign

In support of gender diversity and the UK’s growing transgender community, Starbucks teamed up with Mermaids to create a highly emotive, award-winning campaign focused on inclusivity. The concept focused on the idea of finding your name on the side of the cup which, according to Starbucks, should be anything you want it to be.

The Hello BC #ExploreBCLater Campaign

With the air travel industry down by 95%, creating a successful travel campaign wouldn’t be easy for Hello BC, but against all odds, they made it work. They encouraged travelers to stay home and, in the meantime, get excited to #ExploreBCLater with itineraries planned through Hello BC.

The Coors Light #CouldUseABeer Campaign

Known for their notoriously “cheeky” campaigns, Coors Light got audiences thinking about reasons why they could do with a 6-pack of cold ones, with the goal of getting them to repost with the hashtag #CouldUseABeer in exchange for said 6-pack. At the end of it all, Coors Light gave away 500,000 beers to thirsty, appreciative customers.

Clearly, the most successful campaigns get people excited, make them feel important, and give them a reason to support brands now and in the future. Try pulling a page out of these top-dog’s books, and see how it works for you. Already got an idea? We’d tell you to share it in the comment box – but we wouldn’t want anyone to steal it. For now, you can tell us what you think about these winning campaigns above!

Little Miss Chatterbox

There has been an ongoing joke in my family that I am the Little Miss Chatterbox character from Roger Hargreaves Little Miss books. She talks all the time, even in her sleep. So itʼs completely fitting that I discovered my passion for marketing through social media management where I get paid for my ability to talk and talk and talk!
