National Small Business Week is a national event designed to honor top U.S entrepreneurs. While larger cities tend to offer their own celebrations and events during Small Business week, you can also participate and enjoy the holiday yourself. Here are my tips to celebrate:
Incorporate your business with the Small Business Administration
The Small Business Administration is one of the hosts for National Small Business Week. Their brand is quite well known and you can take advantage of this by including their logo in some of your own promotional materials.
Collaborate with Local Businesses
Competition is a large part of the business world, but there is also space to work together. Small businesses are often local businesses, and it's best for everyone if there's a thriving community with loyal customers. Reach out to other companies who have similar clientele to you and see if a cross-promotional marketing strategy can be established that will attract customers to both of your businesses.
Celebrate your Customers
Let your customers know that you appreciate their loyalty to your business by offering them exclusive deals/discounts. You could even launch a new customer loyalty plan. Consider giving handwritten notes to some of your best customers for their support.
Don’t Forget to Thank Your Team
Small Businesses would not be possible without a hard-working team. While everyone is recognizing the importance of a small business as an entity, why not thank your team by offering them gift cards, a spa day, or in-office massage? This is a great way to participate in Small Business Week and also to motivate your team to keep up their hard work.
How have you celebrated National Small Business Week in the past? We would love to hear from you in the comments.
